Abstract
결론
저자들은 온천 지역인 충남 아산군 도고면 온천리 도고온천초등하교 5, 6학년 아동 중 계
속 이 지역에서 살아왔던 아동 52명을 대상으로 정밀구강검진을 실시하여 치아우식발생과
반점치 검사를 수행하였고 이 지역의 지하수에 대한 불소이온농도를 측정하여, 반점치 발생
과 우식발생과의 관계를 조사해 본 결과 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다.
1. 이 지역 아동들은 타 지역에 비하여 우식 발생이 감소 되어 있었다.
2. 이 지역 아동들은 타 지역에 비하여 반점도 발생이 높았다.
3. 이 지역에서 과거에 사용하였던 온천수의 불소이온농는 3.66ppm으로 상당히 높았다.
4. 이 지역에서는 과거에 다소 고농도의 불소 성분이 음용수에 포함된 물을 식수로 사용
하여서 반점치 발생이 높고 우식 발생이 낮게 나타난 결과로 추정되었다.

The author have surveyed 52 children of age 10 and 11 in order to examined the
mottled enamel and caries incidence at Dogo community where is one of the famous hot
spring areas in Korea.
Horowitz fluorosis index was applied for dental fluorosis survey and WHO index was
used for dental caries status. Fluoride concentration for underground water which the
community residences had been used for many years before supplying the piped water,
was analysed with the electrode.
The obtained results are as followings.
1. Caries prevalencies were revealed a little bit low, compared with the average of the
children at rural area.
2. Dental fluorosis index was comparatively high as 0.60±0.80.
3. The average fluoride concentration at hot spring water was analysed as 3.66ppm.
4. It was estimated that high concentration of fluoride might had been influenced to
cause the mottled enamel for children in the community.
